Our safari pick: Kenya’s Mara conservancies — two 6-tent Kicheche camps with a private vehicle — then Diani beach and reef diving: ≈ $25,900 all-in, Jan 27 – Feb 9.
For a seasick partner this is the gentlest of all our trips: no long boat days, short small-plane hops, and the most luxury per dollar. Tanzania’s calving season (Ndutu + Mafia Island whale sharks) is the showier alternative but Ndutu tents in February are scarce.
Budgets add up, but camp rates are published “from” prices and Ndutu availability is unconfirmed — treat totals as estimates until we have date-specific quotes. Kenya is now first: more cushion, a private vehicle, two dive days and the least motion.
